MDM status and device blacklist checks

HayTool includes a device blacklist check and automatically blocks processing when that check flags a device. Understand the result alongside ownership, authorization and product requirements.

Two different checks

MDM

Management status

MDM concerns an organization’s management, configuration or supervision of a device. A Remote Management screen does not by itself establish whether a device was obtained legitimately.

DEVICE BLACKLIST

Risk flags

A blacklist check concerns the risk flags covered by that check. HayTool blocks processing when its check flags a device. Ask support about current coverage and how to interpret a result.

When a device is flagged

HayTool automatically blocks processing for a device flagged by its blacklist check. Verify the device’s origin and status with the seller or owner. If you believe the result needs clarification, contact official support.

A different account, a new submission or a different processing method does not resolve an ownership or authorization issue.

What a clear result does not establish

A result with no matching flag is not a guarantee of lawful origin, complete risk coverage or product compatibility. Ownership, permission to service the device, organizational management and technical eligibility must be considered separately.

  • Confirm ownership or explicit authorization to service the device.
  • Clarify any remaining relationship with the managing organization.
  • Confirm the model, operating-system version and current device state.
  • Review the existing product instructions, data implications and feature limitations.

Frequently asked questions

Is an MDM check the same as a blacklist check?

No. They concern different device states. Review both in context rather than using one as a substitute for the other.

Which blacklist categories are covered?

Contact official support to confirm current categories, coverage and interpretation. This page does not claim universal or real-time coverage.

Does a clear check grant permission to modify a device?

No. A check result and permission from the device owner are separate requirements.
